Our History

Thread & Thistle was founded in 2025 as a home-based embroidery shop serving Lynchburg and surrounding Central Virginia communities. What began with custom embroidery for baby and children’s clothing quickly grew through word of mouth, Facebook, and local referrals. As demand increased, Thread & Thistle expanded its equipment and capabilities to produce high-detail custom embroidery, appliqué work, and embroidered gifts and apparel for both individuals and businesses throughout the Lynchburg area.
